Select Teams

2022 Fall Select Teams (Tryout info) 

 

IYSA is excited to offer a fall select program for our U10 and U12 teams, which is designed to provide our teams with an elite travel soccer experience playing against the best teams in the region.   The teams will compete in the NYS Thruway league against the top teams in Western, NY.  Due to competing school programs we will not offer a U14 select team in the fall.

 

NOTE: IYSA will continue to run our standard spring programs for all age groups and skill levels

Tryout Information

  • Date: Tuesday, August 23rd (Date is subject to change)

  • Times:

    • U10 - 5pm to 6pm (2013 and 2014 birthyear players are invited)

      • 12 players selected with up to 2 alternates​

    • U12 - 6:30 to 8:00 pm (2011 and 2012 birthyear players are invited)

      • 15 players selected with up to 3 alternates​

  • Location: Grantchester Fields​ (1767 East Shore Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850)

  • Register today to lock in a place at tryouts;  If your player is unable to attend the tryout due to a conflict please go ahead and register your player anyway and we will arrange for an alternative time.

Program Information

  • Season Practices: Minimum of 3 practices per week (2 as part of the fall program and1 extra for the select teams on Friday evenings)

  • Tournaments:  2 tournaments planned;  Tournament fees are covered as part of the registration costs

  • Games:  Select teams have been placed NY State West Thruway soccer league.  The select teams will have a minimum of 10 games

  • Registration Costs: 

    • U10 - $175 + standard fall registration​ costs

    • U12 - $225 + standard fall registration​ costs
